Ricardo Oyarzun, a prominent fashion designer in Chile has sparked outrage, not just in Chile bust almost all over the world, by dressing up (sexy) models like the Virgin Mary — in some cases with ample, semi-nude breasts. The picture below is just one example of such a sexy model with her huge breasts popping out…
The Roman Catholic Church condemned Ricardo’s plans for a show featuring the models, and a conservative group tried unsuccessfully to block it in court. Ricardo said he had received telephone threats and had excrement smeared on his doorstep.
He said his designs — which include halos and religious icons — were inspired by the Virgin Mary but not intended to represent her. “We look on with special pain and deplore those acts which seek to tarnish manifestations of sincere love toward the Virgin Mary, which end up striking at the dignity of womankind by presenting her as an object of consumption,” Chile’s Episcopal Conference said in a statement.
“There is no pornography here, there’s no sex, there are no virgins menstruating or feeling each other up,” Ricardo said ahead of the catwalk show set to be held at a Santiago nightclub. “This is artistic expression.”
I, personally did not find anything offending here. The idea is nice which has given a new dimension to fashion. It clearly is NOT vulgar in any sense, but in fact very much artistic. I even wish to buy this as a painting! The model is sexy, her breasts are so round and sexy that I can’t take my eyes off her. Why to unncessarily create a spat over such trivial issue?
