Tips for “ethical” commenting on websites

Well, I think I am touching one of the most “tricky” subjects in the workd of Internet – Ethical Commenting. What is ethical commenting? Well, many established net-societies have different definitions of ethical commenting. But I have derived my own: Ethical Commenting is the one where you don’t spam someone’s site with un-necessary, un-useful, not-related, pornographic, and harmful information in the form of comments. Well, let me explain what I mean. This explanation also forms a set of rules that my readers are requested to follow while commening on this site and my associate sites as well.

Note: All the screenshots below are REAL. I have shaded out the email, site url and IP address of the commentor simply NOT TO publicize these spammers!

Tip / Rule # 1: Do not comment with un-necessary information.
Tip / Rule # 2: Do not spam a comment with lot of url’s and non-sense information which is absolutely of no use to anyone. Refrain from using pornographic details.
=========================================
Tip / Rule # 3: Do not comment on irrelevant posts with irrelevant information / links.
Tip / Rule # 4: Do not comment in any language other than the commonly accepted English language. However, he exception to this rule is the language-specific sites. But this rule is applicable to most of the sites currently on the Internet.
Tip / Rule # 5: Do not include pornographic content on a non-adult site.
Tip / Rule # 6: Do not comment with generic content which surely classifies for spam.

I am sure that if one follows these 6 “Golden Rules” for ethical commenting, his/her comments would be classified as GENUINE comments and would definitely be published by any webmaster.

Please note that, in order to avoid comment spamming and promote only genuine comments, I am following very strict rules and directives for commenting on the LIFE IS DELIGHTFUL site and my associate sites. I manually intercept each and every comment that is posted on all of my associate sites to ensure that only genuine comment passes through our rigorous checks. I would appeal all users to refrain from wasting their and my time by publishing spammy comments – these won’t be published at all.

If you have any suggestions / tips to avoid comment spamming, please post them here as a comment and I would be happy to publish them here.
