In addition to my observations and findings posted earlier, below are a few more reasons why i strongly recommend NOT to buy Samsung S5233A touchscreen phone.
1. i can prove that the SMS memory handling of this phone is poor. it stores all messages on SIM card and user have to manually move message to phone memory. the phone memory is also limited to just 500 messages which in itself is quite low. in my phone, there are 17 messages on sim card out of 25. still the phone doesn’t allow me to move any message to phone memory. i can prove it!
2. the touchscreen is embarassingly slow in responding to key press. even when i am typing (this) message using this phone, i have taken many minutes to complete a small message. it is unbelievable. many letters are typed twice, some keypress are not recognized and then the entire touch interface is sluggish. in all, a poorly performing substandard component.
