Well, this is now like a cliche. We all know there is tremendous joy in giving and sharing. Even more if you do it with the underprivileged. Icing on the cake is when you do out of charity (some call it social service), and NOT to showcase or not even to save taxes.

Many of us give away or share some of our stuff sometime in our life. We sometimes do it because someone told us to do so (may be our parents, spouse, partner, teachers, friends, etc.). There are some cases when we do it on our own because our inner self tells us to do so. However and whatever is your reason, what is more important is that you Share. Share your old stuff, used articles, things you no longer need. Donate/ Give to/ Share with someone who does not have it and can’t even afford to have it.

Johnson & Johnson has come forth with a similar initiative wherein you can share (read, donate) old toys of your kids – so that you can buy new ones. Instead of throwing them into dustbin, share it with J&J and they in turn will share those with the needy children. This is an remarkable initiative and I urge all the parents out there to donate their kids’ old toys. Children often get bored with a toy pretty quickly. We may then either store tham somewhere or throw them or give them to our maids.

Don’t do that during this month. This unique chance can be availed only during next 15 days. All you need to do is to go to nearest supermarket (Star Bazaar, Easy Day, More) and hand over old/ unwanted toys to the J&J folks or people from a NGO called Goonj. Your one small activity will add happiness to the lives of plenty of poor children. This is not limited to just toys – you can get old clothes, accessories, games, etc.

Come, let’s make a difference in lives of those who can’t even dream of buying decent clothes/ toys. We can make a difference! I am going to make a difference over this weekend, I will be visiting More and EasyDay outlets in Thane (Mumbai) over this weekend to donate. Hope to see you there.

Nowadays hiring maids and specially baby caretakers has been so difficult. We have arranged for a daycare girl to look after our baby daughter – around r months back. She hails from a poor family and in need of money to clear her family’s debts. In first look, she looked sincere and quite comfortable in handling babies. My wife liked this girl and we decided to hire her services – albeit at a higher price, 5000 bucks for a month!!

However we didn’t have any better option so we went ahead with her. In the first hew days, she made attempts to acclaimatize herself with my baby. Within a few days, my baby got quite comfortable with this caretaker and they got along quite well! Well, that’s a great sign! Soon the caretaker took charge of my baby and things looked going on right track.

However, this caretaker was a teenager and had influence of her mother, also a house maid, who has a habit of taking too many leaves in a month and talking rudely with the employers and saying lies. This caretaker also shown similar signs, starting from second month itself. Whenever a Sunday comes, something happened to her and she wanted a leave. Every Sunday she wants leave just because both of us have holiday and are at home.

We explained to her in polite yet clear way that this is not acceptable, and she made a ruckus out of this. We faced lot of mental stress but because we were in need we tried to amicably sort it out. It ended well and she agreed to agree to our terms. We thought things will move ahead smoothly after this and they did. For a few days, however. She again started her erratic behavior and we are at loss of any workable solution on this issue.

We are desperate to know we can deal with such issues related to maids and caretakers. We are in need of some girl who can take care of our daughter, is honest and sincere, and obedient and keen on working. We are at loss of a feasible solution on how we should deal with this.

Please share your suggestions via comments.

I still remember very clearly – it was year 2000 when I first read about blogs. Actually I came to know about it through a suspense novel in which the protagonist had to communicate messages to his friend – in a secret way so that they don’t get caught by the investigative agencies. All their modes of communication were being monitored but they still need to pass on the secret messages. So they undertake a novel approach – one fellow writes on his “online diary” the desired message, but in encrypted format and the other reads it from a secret place. For general readers, it looks like a junk message but the protagonist gets the desired encrypted message inside this junk.

This was the first time I came to know about blogs and how useful they can be. At that time, I was just introduced to the Internet and have created my first ever email I’d. It was a great learning experience knowing about Internet and exploring it.

That was my first time to know what a blog is and since then I have created blogs (and sold a few of them as well).

What’s your story? Share it through your comments.

But my point is: my daughter is so very special for me. We have been trying hard to get a baby and both (me & my wife) wanted a daughter! Finally almighty God listened to our prayers and gave us this huge bundle of joy in terms of a daughter.

She is pretty (just like me, of course) and she is so innocent! Her toothless grin melts my heart!! When I am sitting next to her, she keeps on looking at me – keenly watching each thing and everything that I am doing. She watches my expressions, and tries to imitate them! So cute…

My baby daughter is truly a huge bundle of surprises and am proud of her! Right from now… I will keep talking about her (until I am tired )…

This is going to be quite interesting and hilarious too. Most of us are aware of the organization charts that exist in almost every company – no matter its size. In smaller companies, it might be relatively simple, but as the company grows, the org chart (as it is commonly referrer to as) becomes complex.

Now you must be wondering why the heck I am giving you gyaan about org charts! Hold on… What I am talking about is the organization charts of some famous and really big organizations – lets call them as service organizations – Amazon, Google, Facebook, Microsoft, Apple, and Oracle.

I personally liked the Google and Apple ones. And special mention to Microsoft for the sheer reality!!
